ist das den die verfolgende Regelung, wenn ich es richtig interpretiere, damit ist es endgültig entschlossen, dass die Greencardler bekommen den anspruch für ein Niederlassungserlaubnis ab 1.1.2005 haben werden.

does not necessarily mean a "Niederlassungserlaubnis" for GC.

and this was already discussed here:

in that forum(where a lot of AA/AB officers also answer) nobody thinks that GC will get NE after 1.1.2005

GC has to fullfill 60 months pension payment and some other requirements which I dont remember now..

Does this requirement of 5yr in Deutschland have to be continious? What happens if the person was away for more that 6 months, is this subtracted?

Hmm! after reading the paragraph several times again and reading the comments in xonder.at, I must say you are unfortunately right.
I was nearly optimistic about the situation. It is more a question of being respected for me actually rather than being allowed to stay permanent in Germany. Well as an IT professional, it is never an issue for us just to apply for any position somewhere else. It will be a bit smart-alecy behaviour but to my opinion; Germany has to find the ways of keeping us here, instead we keep trying to get a PR "anyhow"
Well I will apply for a PR anyway after 1.1.2005.
It doesnt matter after then if I want to stay here or not.
Dont have great expectations! But be always ready to handle the greatest opportunities!
