today i went to Ausländebehörde to submit the DE-EG application. There she verified my documents (file) and took the application and the needed documents and she also asked to pay the visa fee (42.5€ paid). Then she informed me that concern department will verify your application and send you a letter.

question:
1. she mean security check?
2. if they want to verify the eligibilty i heard that they dont ask us to pay Visa fee. They used to tell us that we will inform you in 2-3 weeks (reg. eligibilty). as she took the Visa fee means iam already eligible according to their calculations?

I think for D-EG the fee is 85 euros. Where did you apply for D-EG?

Which security check you are talking about. There is an eligibility criteria for D-EG and if you fulfill it you will receive it.

this verification includes many things,
etc. check with police,
Renten.Vers. (BFA)
Krankenkasse
check with finanzamt and related dept. (in the case of selbständig more checks)
total fees 85 €
when u make application 42.5€ and while stamping the visa again 42.5€
in case of failure of application you generally loose 42.5€ which you paid now.
it might take 4 weeks depends on how fast it goes...
on the form you should write your mobile no and they will contact you in case they need more docs. or to let you know when you need to go with 42.5€ cash for visa stamp or whatever....
