I'm using VoipCheap to make all my international calls.
They have very competitive rates and you can choose to use a messenger-alike client, a softphone or even attach a SIP based IP phone to make the calls.
I also like the "web activated calls", just put the source and destination phone numbers and VoipCheap will call and connect both!
Calls to India are 7 cents per minute and call to USA and most European countries are "free"!
