I am German and married to a US soldier. I have tax class 1, what is a good way to get the most money back? We are living together in Germany, but since he is a US soldier he is not allowed to register at the Einwohnermeldeamt, which then means he is not living in Germany (well this is how the government sees it anyways). Does anybody have a clue on how to file such a tax return?

I think it's a very hard question for the guys over here. You should better consult with a Steuerberater.
