As per previous practice, the companies are used to ask for Arbeitserlaubnis antrag, after having any Arbeitsvertrag.

Now, what if after getting NE, one gets a Job contract and the company(because of not having awareness with new Gesetz) ask for Arbeitserlaubnis.

How, should one proof that with NE(unbefristet) Aufenthalt, there is no need for this Arbeitserlaubnis? Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Dunno if it's the case for all the NE but on 5 I've seen (including mine), they all had the EG mention on it.

I checked and it was written(a very small font) under Niederlassungserlaubnis.

I will try to convince with this.

Is not it strange that you have to proof everything like you are or have done anything wrong.

As far a I understand there are three types if Visas Issued NE, BE and Selbsta... thing.

I am a newbie in this region, Can some one throw more information about the different types of permits and what to they entitle us with ?.

Let us say, you want to setup a company can you do that with NE ? or do you need to have a BE for that?.

What is the Selbst. thingy ?.

Any information in this corner is highly appreciated.

BE = Beschäftigung erlaubt

i.e. You can work in any field but cant open your own company.

Selbst. thingy or EG = Selbständige/Erwerbtätigkeit gestattet

i.e. You can work in any field and can open your own company.


NE = Niederlassungserlaubnis
i.e. BE+EG

So basically with NE You can Actually open a company and be the boss of it and as well work some where else.

And no permissions needed?.
