Dear all,

I am an Indian citizen pursuing my doctorate studies in Germany on a student visa. My husband is also working in Germany (Indian national) and is a blue card holder. Both of us have independent visas and we got married in India in February, 2014. I wanted to know that what is the correct procedure to get our marriage registered in Germany. We had submitted the Indian marriage certificate and the Übersetzung (Translation) of the same in Ausländerbehörde. Now i want to shift on a dependent visa but they say that we need an Überprufung from the Standesamt, which seems to be a very long and complicated procedure. Does anyone have the similar experience and could share some information. It would be very helpful.

there is no shortcut. dependent visa will be issued only when the  MC is verified.
