Citizenship with new immigration law

In the new immigration law, page 48, §10, (2):
"Weist ein Ausländer dursch eine Bescheinigung nach §43 Abs.3 Satz 2 des Aufenthaltsgesetzes die erfolgreiche Teilnahme an einem Integrationkurs nach, wird die Frist nach Absatz 1 auf sieben Jahre verkürzt".

http://www.bmi.bund.de/cln_011/nn_121852/Internet/Content/Common/Anlagen/Gesetze/Zuwanderungsgesetz,templateId=raw,property=publicationFile.pdf/Zuwanderungsgesetz

Is it true that if we take an integration course, then we can get the citizenship in 7 years instead of 8? Any opinion?
If so, then where and how long are these integration courses?

Detlef, any idea?

Thanks

Hi gc12345...

As far as I know, there was some changes in the new law for citizenship.

I am not 100% for sure, but for citizenship you need:

1- Appropiate appartment/house (you know, not so small, Mietvertrag u.s.w.)
2- Job
3- Not to be in jail or delictive history
4- 8 years in Germany, 3 of this years must be with permanent resident

The rumours was if you have participated in the integration courses, this point will be lowered to 7.

But you know, nothing here is so easy. If they lowered the years to 7 AND we get our pr after our GC, we will not fit in the "3 years with pr" category. So, that question runs out of me and get into the field of info4alien where they know all the small letters of all ordinances. I don´t

By the way, you are completely right. I´m not so interested in the citizenship by now. We have another problems and if yes or no to the citizenship is the top of the ladder. I´m just in the firsts steps, in 5 years we will see.

By the way, check my other post about courses.
