Dear forum members,
Any one here having idea of elterngeld received in one's home county.
I'm planning to take 6 months of elternzeit with elterngeld from july this year and want to spend this time with my parents in my home country.
anyone of you gone through this process please share your experience.

what do you mean elterngeld in ones home country? Elterngeld will be paid in a local german back. It is upto you if you want to transfer to your home country back.

I understood what you mean to asked, Yes you can avail your elterngeld here, inspite you are holidaying during this time in your home country. This has happened to my wife, so you can also avail this and enjoy your time there.
