Validity of Student Visa

I was denied a family reunion visa and then I got a student visa as I had applied for a Masters course.

Now I am about to finish my course in 5 months, but I have a valid student visa till end of next year(2012).

Now my question is would my student visa still be valid(till 2012) or automatically cancelled in Oct 2011 (the month when I would be completing the course).

visa is invalid as soon as you ex-matriculate.
