I would like to know whether the Niederlassungerlaubnis gets expired when somebody leaves Germany for a long time. If yes, after how much time?

If you leave Germany for a long time. It is clear that you do not need this resident permit. Hence it will not be valid. This period can be between 6 months to 1 year. If you talk to ABH explaining your case and why you need to be outside they may be lenient.
