Hello All,
a friend of mine is thinking of starting a small business after he got his NE. He is planning to start a TAXI business with 2 to 3 Taxis . He will not drive himself but will hire drivers. He will just finance and manage the small company. Do you have any info about that? how is done? what is needed? Maybe you know of a professional company who can provide a service in helping start such business?

This gives general information. Regarding a taxi company... your friend must contact the authorities in Hamburg, because the taxi business depends on the county laws. Every region, for example Berlin, Hamburg, Munich has its own regulations. In some cities the concessions for taxis are limited, so you have to pay some thousand Euro to buy one. In some cities there are no limitations and because of this there are to many taxis and it is a bad business (like in Berlin).

It is possible to own 1 or 100 taxis without a taxi driver licence, but there are some other prerequisites to start this business.

Ask the 'Amt für Personenbeförderung' in Hamburg.
