Hi,
My german work permit is approved & consulate called me for stamping.
But now I do not want german work permit.  Is it ok to cancel it or there will be any negative impression about me on consulate?

I won't prefer a visa cancellation stamp on my passport (although I have one). You may get a visa stamped  and just do not fly to Germany.

Do not know about impression thing..Sometimes I do make effort to impress my wife or may be boss (in rare case) but never tried to impress consulate :-)
