I guess this is the most important post I ever posted on any forums :-)) Today I got those magic words in my passport. "Niederlassungserlaubnis". My wife got a 2 year extension.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you who provided me with valuable information. I would like to specially name a few like Detlef, DvD, Nobody, Fred, A.T etc etc....the list goes on...

2,was any deutch test given to you.
3,faisal do you know any one called jimmy, He mentioned about your name.This guy is from trier.

It took me less than 3 weeks. I submitted my application on 1st of September. There was no Deutsch test as it is not necessary. But you need to talk in Deutsch and thats enough. I know Jimmy. He is a good friend of mine. I was too lazy to call him. How do you know him?

Is your wife allowed to work? What kind of Aufenthaltserlaubnis did she get?
In case she is allowed to, does she have to go through the normal check to make sure that no german can take her job, then no european, and then comes her turn???

Aufenthalt aus familiären Gründen
Erwerbstätigkeit erlaubt.
