I have been in Germany for a little less that two years with GC.

My work permit is about to expire and I am going to renew my contract with my company soon.We do not expect any problems in getting some sort of permit though still I'd like to get the best from
ABH as possible.This is I guess having
"beschaeftigung erlaubt" on my residence
title,without any time limit or company name.

So, as I understood according to 46.2 in
http://aufenthaltstitel.de/beschv.html,
since I got my work permit before 1.1.2005
my "befristete Arbeitserlaubnis"
should be transformed to a "unbefristete Zustimmung zum Aufenthaltstitel zur Ausübung einer Beschäftigung"

However there is a faq at
http://www.integrationsbeauftragte.de/download/Zuwanderungsgesetz_Fragen_Antworten_deu.pdf
which claims that all limitations from my
current Arbeiterlaubnis should be transferred to
the new one. ( p.36: Was geschieht mit Ihrer Arbeitsgenehmigung )

It looks like there are some people in this
forum who got BE and some couldn't.Issue seems
pretty complex to me and the more I read the more
confused I get

Do I interpret 46.2 wrongly or is there an error
in this FAQ?
