Hai friends,

My brother has German PR (NE)since 2006. At present he is in india from the last 5 months. He got serious injuries in an accident, and now he has to be in bed for at least 3 months. He told me that the validity o0f german PR is only 6 months if you live outside Germany.

Any one please give suggestions, how to extend the PR or what to do to keep still the PR valid.

NE will be invalid in any one stays abroad for more than 6 months, but as you said your brother had an accident, you cannot force him to fly.What you can do is to inform the Auslandsamt(International Office) where your brother got the NE or the city where he lived b4 coming to India.

Call and inform them about the situation, send them if any documents requested (certificate from Doctor)

In special cases they will consider and will not cancel yours brother NE.
