As I got a job in Germany , My employer wants to apply for Arbeitgeberbescheinigung(Employment certificate).

Can someone give more information about this process.

From my knowledge we intially get the "Aufenthalteserlaubnis". but I never knew this "Arbeitgeberbescheinigung".

Arbeitgeberbeschenigung is the working experiance certificate from the previous employer. In this certificate previous employer write how your conduct was in company.

But here my new emloyer wants to give me "Arbeitgeberbescheinigung" for the long term visa probably for 3 years. is it possible to have a long term visa with this letter("Arbeitgeberbescheinigung").

What would i need to ask him for the long term visa like for 3 or more years at a single attempt?

I would be happy if anyone could clear these questions.

Tell ABH you have 3 yrs or more work contract and ask them to give residence permit for this duration. They might give either for 1,2,3 or more yrs, depends on them.

ABH is giving only for 1 year even though you have the permenant job and I think this all depends on the ABH we attempt.Strange rules!!!
