I hope that all of you are doing good and have had a wonderfull weekend so far.
I am sorry to bother you all but just had a quick question to all the IT Specialits in this forum.

I would like to know if anyone one you could provide me with the link to a website listing all the major IT Companies in Germany. Just as you have the Frankfurt Automotive Show or the Automotive Expo every year, is an IT Expo also held in Germany and is there any link for the same.

A friend of mine (he has done Computer Engineering - specialist in Networking) is trying to look for an IT job here in Germany and so I decided to put forth this question to the IT specialits in here.

I would be highly thankfull to all of you for your kind help and time.

Getting the list of IT companies won't secure him a chance to see positions, ask him to crawl websites like Monster.de, jobpilot.de, jobscout24.de, heise.de and the like to be able to search for free positions.

I thank you very much for your prompt reply. I just had a few questions though. This friend of mine has completed his Master Studies in Computer Engineering from the US and wants to move to Europe and to Germany to find a suitable IT Job. He has enquired that Germany as such is looking for qualified IT professionals and that the Pay Scale ain't that bad either, he wants to try his luck out here.
Could you suggest some proper methodical approach for the same and what are his chances of landing up with a job here in Germany according to your point of view.

Hi,

The methods that work everywhere else also work in Germany. Look at the websites that 'NoBody' directed you to and search for jobs that are relevant for your skill sets.

The two major hindrances for your friend might be:

- German language and
- The work permit issue.

The "D." doesn't stand for "Detlef", Detlef usually signs "Detlef" at the end of his posts, ain't that right Detlef? :-) Hope you're still around here.

"I thank you very much for your prompt reply.", you're welcome and lucky because I don't have that much time to answer so promptly as I was doing before, maybe I'm getting too old.

"He has enquired that Germany as such is looking for qualified IT professionals", that's true but one problem is that they mainly look for people who can speak German from the get-go, the good old days of the GC only speaking English and easily finding jobs are way past gone.
"and that the Pay Scale ain't that bad either", well, that depends because as he just finished his studies, and thus has no job experience, the salary will be quite small.

"Could you suggest some proper methodical approach for the same", same as always, crawl websites, send applications or make phone calls and send applications, having a good resume and life should be good.
