hai friends,
i am from india (hyderabad),living in germany since 2002 and did my masters in mechanical engineering from germany.
i tried for a job in my field but it is really difficult to find, so i think to shift to IT field as my most of my friends did ( in USA).
now i think to go back to india for 4-6 months and leran some designing courses like (CAD, CATIA) and SAP MM.
please anybody could tell me, my idea is right. is it scope to find a work place after learning those courses.
i have unlimited workpermit.
i will be thankful if anybody (especially indian
GCs)gives his / her valuable suggestions.

I am not indian GC

CATIA and CAD are Mech Eng so it is not switch to IT. it is still ME.
What is MM in SAP MM?
What Richtung ME do you have?
What visa do you have?
How did you get unlim WP?
Did you ever work in D?
Getting ALG?

anyway I'll try to answer

CATIA and CAD are good idea. it will help you find something.
But most important thing is to have some start. At least a praktika. Did you tried to get Praktika Stelle?

So it is good idea to do some courses but you have to get back before 6 months are over.

if you are receiving ALG you should ask your AA before you go to make some courses in India.
you must say you will be "verfügbar" all the time if someone offers a job.

If I remember some of his old posts, I think he is married to a German girl, reason why he got an unlimited WP. Correct me if I'm wrong.

thank you for your reply,
i am married to a german citizen, so i got unlimited work permit.
CAD and CATIA are related to my field actally i did master in polymer technology.
in SAP MM, MM means material management according to my friend. actually i got this information from friends.
i have n't done any practicum.
it is difficult find a job in my job field though i can speak in german (but not fluent).
now you can suggest me,

I think german is problem. you will never get job as a ME if your german isn't fluent.
you can do CATIA and CAD but your first issue is german. so do some german courses first.

second. as you know german companies take guys from uni to praktika first and then for job.
so learn german and try to get praktika.
It is poor money but it is the only way.

Do you know any CAD?

As a recent graduate one can 3500EUR per month. Is that true? When you say take home, I guess it's after paying the taxes, insurance and other contributions. But people with more than 5 years experience in IT or CAD/CAM are not getting payed that much in Germany. Verify the source of your information.
