The Daueraufenthalt EG is an interesting concept I came to know from this forum.

Now I have a work permit since 2 years now and next january I will apply for the NE under 19 a ( salary thing ).

So can I get the Daueraufenthalt EG ? any ideas .

But it's not clear to me that what are they going to have on the new stamp?

"Niederlassungserlaubnis - Daueraufenthalt EG"

or just

"Daueraufenthalt EG" with paragraph nr. §9a

good and bad... now they are telling stories like they wait for new stickers which need to come from Berlin to include Daueraufenthalt-EG on them. Before that they were just putting to the NE stickers manually "Daueraufenthalt-EG". Wait for this, wait for that, time passes by, I am sick of waiting all these security checks, and now it is not enough, we wait for new stickers... oh well...

excuses excuses....like it is a big deal if they just put another sticker in our pass.....

How long does it take to get NE-Daueraufenthalt EG after applying? I was told few days ago at ABH that it can take upto 3 months because they need to check several things e.g with police & so on.

I applied end of July and got it today.

I just got Daueraufenthalt EG in Bonn. It costs 10 Euro and under AMMERKUNGEN field is written also : "$9 AufenthG (Daueraufenthaltsrecht EG)"

Can I have your email address as I want to discuss regarding the fees. I was charged 85euro for same.

Anybody else in this situation?

Officers discussed it with looking to some documents and decided to charge me 85€ and I paid it of course. It is worth the freedom of leaving germany for 12 months and work anywhere else in EU except DK&UK and come back again without issues.

It is little bit surprising that they charge same fee (85euro)also for up gradation from NE to NE-EG.

How come some people like mihais were charged 10 Euro?

what Bundesweit ? Please do not make me laugh here. Let me tell you a story. I got a BE from Wiesbaden in my previous passport and then moved to Frankfurt and got a new passport, guess what, the sticker needs to be transferred to the new one. Frankfurt ABH said it is not OK to transfer the same thing given by Wiesbaden to my new passport but it needs to be confirmed by the Frankfurt ABH manager. Wiesbaden is the capital city of state Hessen, and Frankfurt is another city in the same state. So 2 cities are having problems to understand their behaviour in practicing same things. You are talking about everything should be same Bundesweit etc.

If you see my post above, I am also waiting for BONN to give me the daueraufenthalt-EG but they keep tell ing me the new stickers have not come yet! I call them once a week - last I called them was 2nd of October (Tuesday). Can you please tell me the name of the beamter (email krystaltech@yahoo.com if you prefer) who gave you this and on which day? This will really be very helpful and I would be grateful.

I didn`t get it from Bonn but mihais got it by paying 10 Euro fees from Bonn that is what he mentioned in earlier post.

I am from South Germany had have got NE. I have applied for the Daueraufenthalt through my Lawyer. Today he has asked me to write a declaration for the ABH as follows..Ich, ....................versichere, keine dem Abschnitt 5 des
Aufenthaltsgesetzes vergleichbare Rechtsstellung in einem anderen Mitgliedstaat der
Europäischen Union innezuhaben, in keinem Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union
einen Antrag auf Zuerkennung der Flüchtlingseigenschaft oder auf Gewährung
subsidiären Schutzes im Rahmen der Richtlinie 2004/83/EG des Rates vom 29. April
2004 über Mindestnormen für die Anerkennung und den Status von
Drittstaatsangehörigen oder Staatenlosen als Flüchtlinge oder als Personen, die
anderweitig internationalen Schutz benötigen, und über den Inhalt des zu gewährenden
Schutzes (ABl. EU Nr. L 304 S. 12) gestellt oder vorübergehenden Schutz im Sinne des §
24 beantragt zu haben und über dessen Antrag noch nicht abschließend entschieden
worden ist, sowie in keinem anderen Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union eine
Rechtsstellung zu besitzen, die der in § 1 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 AufenthG beschriebenen
entspricht (vgl. § 9a Abs. 3 Nr. 1-3 AufenthG).

Question : Does one have to give an undertaking like this? Is this as per the new law??

I got Daueraufenthalt-EG last week.

The process was straight forward. It took 3 weeks for processing. The following was submitted:

1. House contract
2. 3 months salary slips
3. Employer letter
4. 60 months pension confirmation
5. one pass photo
6. 85 Euros Fee

I got the same with

- house contract
- 3 payslips

and that's it. No pension etc. stuff.

How many years you resided in germany. or you came as student and then started to work. Can you explain me in detail

no student time, I only work here.
after 5 years exactly.

I am not sure, if many of the members here are aware of this info. I came to know from our ABH, that for NE the half of the student time(years) are considered for getting NE. For E.g 2 years of study and 4 years of rente.
