Toggle
Dear All,

I am Non Eu cititzen. I am currently living and working in Germany for the past 7 years. I hold currently Niederlassungerlaubnis. In 1 year I can apply for citizenship.

Now I got a job in Netherlands near German border.
1. If I work in Netherlands and live in Germany will it affect my German Citizenship?
2. If I am still eliglible, do I need to pay any Tax/social security/Health insurance in Germany?

Kindly experts or experienced persons reply for this questions. It will be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
1. I think not.
2. You can check with your employer, it is possible that you live in germany and pay the taxes also in germany but not in the netherlands, many of the germans who live in border to netherlands do the same. so speak with them and let them know that you want to pay taxes in germany only.

good luck
