My employer fired me and saying me that he got information that i have been applying jobs to other firms and arbeitsamt will treat you badly because it was unfair that you were doing job with us and you were also applying jobs to other firms.

Because you are "auslander" and you you are GC which means that you are depending on his mercy...YES, he can say to you and he can do to you what ever he want!
If you give the "kundigung" then you will have problems with the Arbeitsamt and so on...
If he give you ...then what is the problem?! You folow the law and regulation as other unemployeed people ig Germany...
Abouth what he do and what he say ...do you really care ?!

Halo Friends,

Searched some threads but was unable to find whether the below mentioned query has already been discussed before or not.So looking for some view points here.

Anyways, the query is for a friend of mine..he wants to change job after two years of staying with a german firm and his current employer states that they have spent a lot (e.g relocation benefit, paying for language course etc.). I would like to help him with some arguements but thought of getting some expert advice first?

Does the employer gets tax benefits in germany on expenses made towards employee development courses, seminars etc?Can relocation benefit be treated as a favour?

FYI-No  binding time period or duration for employment has been stipulated in his work contract. It says that the contract can be terminated by serving a notice period of three months, that's all.

Regards,

Hello Jalal,

Its not a valid reason at all.

And Arbeitsamt will trat you badly because you were looking for another job or what????

I think Arbeitsamt will be happy if you work and rather than leave a company without having other agreement in your hand. You are not a slave but and employee.

But yes, if you are searching for a job during office hours using company provided computer and their internet, then they may find it a valid reason but even in that case Arbeitsamt has got nothing to do with it.

@Stefan: Have you ever changed your job?
