This question was probably asked "couple" of times before, but I think that I have a specific detail.

I am a greencard holder, if I marry a girl that finished studies here, was here for almost 5 years on student visa, does she have to sit here one year not working, or she can get a work permit immidiately.

She is much more integrated in this society than I am, and it seems to be an apsurd that without the job she can't stay after the studies. But, anyway, if we marry is there an one year gap or not.

Somebody having same experience?

even if there is such a rule, (and I believe that there isn't any more) then it is counted from your visa begin, not from mariage day
