24 months continuous job for BE??

Hello All,

I have been living in Germany from 15th of January 2006. From 10th July 2006 till 10th August 2006, I had no job since I was changing the company. When I applied for BE, Ausländerbehörde told it is not possible since I was not on job for one month. Anybody knows whether it is 24 months or 24 continuous months.
Thanking you all for your support in advance.

PS: BE is very helpful before July since our company is in the planning stages of cost reduction.

No it is either 24 months or 36 months rente in 4 years.If you want BE after 24 months you must have company permission.
By the way i am looking for a job change.
could you share your experience with me.
