I have been living in Germany for 6 months now. I came here on a Famuly reunion visa and have a residence permit. My husband is a green card holder. I'm qualified as a hardware engineer.
My question is, if and when can i obtain a work permit according to the new law.
And if a company is willing to offer a job am i eligible to get a work permit. Can some one point out to the exact Law number which gives this permission?

Yes you are eligible to get a work-permit. And after 2 years as spouse in Germany you dont even need a work-permit.

§ 29 Familiennachzug zu Ausländern
5) Unbeschadet des § 4 Abs. 2 Satz 3 berechtigt die Aufenthaltserlaubnis zur Ausübung einer Erwerbstätigkeit, soweit der Ausländer, zu dem der Familiennachzug erfolgt, zur Ausübung einer Erwerbstätigkeit berechtigt ist oder wenn die eheliche Lebensgemeinschaft seit mindestens zwei Jahren rechtmäßig im Bundesgebiet bestanden hat.
