Hi, Assuming that I presently have a Niederlassungserlaubnis. If I get married now, will my wife also be entitled to an NE automatically or will she just get a normal Aufenthaltserlaubnis? Please clarify. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. In that case, when will my wife become eligible for an NE? Will she also have to get a job and wait 5 years? It would be helpful if you could provide any specific links where the actual law regarding this condition is stated. Thanks once again.

She will be able to get a NE when she will be 5 years in Germany, no need for her to get a job for that. My wife is a student and she got one because I do and she had to wait til being 5 years here.
