Iam a GC working since 2000 october.When I joined my company,I had my Arbeitserlaubnis filled by my Employer(with sign & seal) in the section "Arbeitgeber ausfullen" and also

(seal & signature) from the arbeitsamt in the corresponding section of the form.In this arbeitserlaubnis,there is a part saying that it is valid from -To(The start & end Greencard Period).

So my questions comes there,

[1]If I get an NE,should I get a new arbeitserlaubnis as my present one is valid only up to my Greencard Period.

[2]Should It be filled by my employer.

[3]With NE,one can do any work one want.In that case does the arbeiterlaubnis, be filled by my employer as it was the case with the green card..

With NE, you dont need the yellow paper anymore. NE is at the same time an "Arbeitserlaubnis" for you.

PS: You can work pretty much like a German, when you have NE. (ofcourse there are exceptions like government jobs, army jobs which may need German citizenship )

So after the NE;

Did that mean that we don't have to do anything with the arbeitsamt anymore other that registering ourselfs when we are unemployed.

For eg.- if I get a new Job,My visum in the passport is all that i require.

I don't have to do anything with the arbeitsamt or auslandersamt,like registering myself there or something like that .

That is correct, that is my understanding of NE.
If anyone thinks that my understanding is not correct, please do share.

I went to enquire in my Rathaus about my visa Extension.I told them that I want an Unbefristet Visa. I didn't use the term NE(neiderlassungerlaubnis) there.

Just to make sure,an Unbefristet visa always means NE,right or do I have to tell them particularly that I want NE instead of unbefristet.

NE is the only unbefristete.

And what they told you in "Rathaus" ?

In the Rathaus,they gave me this Aufenthalts verlangurung form,to be filled in by me & the company(regarding ArbeitBeschinung) & told to go with that to the Auslendersamt on Monday....

Cool, let us wait and see what Ausländeramt will say.

Hope that they will approve it .
