I am in the process of applying for naturalization and I was asked to produce previous registration proofs (from my previous residence towns)

( ''erweiterte Meldebescheinigung'' früherer Wohnorte (Anmeldebescheinigungen der Meldebehörde)

Is it possible to get these documents from the present town or do I need to contact the previous town offices  and request them. Is there a common procedure for this ?

Today i have got citizenship. I have only filled thia info in the application. They have not explicitly asked for the melde besceinigung copies. S please check with them again

Thanks for reply. Probably it depends from office to office I guess. I got a list of documents to be submitted and this one is important. I am in the process of collecting these. Let me see how long it takes.
