I am leaving germany after working here on GC for 2 years. How can I get the money deposited for pension with German Government?
1) Do we need to fill a form here in Germany before leaving to get back the amount?
2) Where will they transfer the amount?DO we need to keep the Germany bank account open until they transfer the money?
Did anyone get the money?? Pls give me ur contact number in case anyone has got the pension money back.

Usually after abmeldung you will have to wait for two years to get back your pension contributions.

My understanding is that you will have to submit the forms in your home country, in german consulate.
And after two years the money will be transferred to your bank account ( you will have to specify the bank account in the form ). I don't think you will have to keep the German account for this purpose.

The required forms and all information could be obtained from the local Bfa office. The local address could be found out from here.

go to www.bfa.de and search for v900.pdf for the application form and search for r851.pdf for the information about your home account.

I will suggest to try to apply from germany, because normally there are nobody aware about it in german embassy in our country.

Hopefully you will get your money back ... god luck .......

Taking 50% our pension money should be enough for them, isn't it ?

After 2 years complete
Download the forms: V900,R851,A1055 . Fill them, got the attestation from German consulate in your residing country and send to bfa berlin.

Or

Send a request letter to BFa berlin for the requred formsmensioning your Versicherung number. they will send you the forms need to fill by post to your address.
Fill them out,take all supporting and necessary documents to German consulate for attestation and send the signed form with copies of supporting documents to BFA berlin. Rest leave to god.

I am working here for about 6 months and I will be here for another 6 months only. Am I eligible to apply for this pension reimbursement after the completion of 1 year
(or)
Is it obligatory to contribute for 2 years in Germany, before applying for reimbursement.

What ever the period it doen't matter. Once you out of Germany you have to wait for 2 years to apply for your part of contribution. After 2 years fill the forms and send with appropriate supporting documents to bfa .

Is it also applicable for people who has contributed more than 60 months to the Insurance?

If you are out of country for 2 years you can claim your pension contribution(only yours, you will not get your companies contribution), that to you need to wait and apply after 2 years.

I have applied after moving to USA, but they said i need to do it after 2 yrs only.

Whatever you pay into Pension you will get it back, no matter how many months you are there.. but you need to leave Germany for 2 yrs.

Now to this message - Some of my friends who were here in the past have also told me the same story. One has to wait for two years before you can get this money back ... hmm perhaps they want to make sure , you are not hiding anywhere(just a lil joke ;)

if I'm not mistaken, after 2 years we will get 9,XX % from our brutto salary for every year working in Germany.

Do we need to pay tax for that amount of money ?

Actually last week praveen has enquired about this and they said that if you pay the insurance for more than 59 months you will get that money only as pension at 65yrs. age irrespective of any agreements between India and Germany.So this made me concern to post in this forum...
Well in your case it was absolutely fine while you left Germany before 59months of working/paying insurance.
How is life there in USA?could you let me know the job market there with respect to SAP..

Conclusion : One would get his persion contribution back(no 59 month limit), if his native country has no pension agreements with Germany. He will have to wait 2 years after leaving Germany.
