NE advise

Hi everyone,

I am going on Monday to apply for NE (my visa expires in a couple of months. I already have EG).

Now, I have a couple of questions. I would be grateful if someone here can help me with them.

- Are the NE application form(s) available online?
- What papers should I take with me? So far I have thought of:
- Last 3 pay slips.
- Letter from company saying I am employed.
- My rental contract.
- My work contract.

Thanks and cheers,
-P

ok, found the forms for Munich online.

I have seen some people mention that you need some rentenversicherung documents. Does anyone know where I can get those? I am not even sure if it is needed in all the cases.

Cheers,
-P

"I am not even sure if it is needed in all the cases."

you don't need them if you had residence permit before 01.01.2005

although if you want to get those, visit http://www.deutsche-rentenversicherung-bund.de

Well, went there to get the NE. The good news is that there are no problems and the guy said I can get it on the same day. The bad news is that I have to wait another 4 months till the current one expires.

Hello Xenon123,

May I ask which case of NE are you?
stay and paying renting versicherung more than 5 years or salary more than 84000?

I am asking because I have the following case:
I got my GC in 04.2004, my working permit valid till 04.2009. my passport valid till 08.2006, that time I got my visum till 05.2006. I was told to prolong my visum now and I will get the new visum till 04.2009.

Can I get NE directly? or the agent has told me the right information.
thanks for the tips in advance.

Hi,

I would fall under the 5 years caregory. I only wish I had that income ;)

However, I have heard mentioned on this site that if you have a salary > 84000, then you do not have to wait for the 5 years.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable can answer?
