Has anybody experience with Ausländerbehörde
Berlin in this question?

Not yet implemented in Berlin, they still thinking about it.

Just a little update on this subject, after some in and out with them, this is the answer I received this afternoon per email:

"Sehr geehrter Herr NoBody,

Bitte stellen Sie einen schriftlichen Antrag und richten Sie diesen an das Sachgebiet IV Z 6 (Anschrift s. E-Mail-Signatur).
Nach Eingang und Prüfung Ihres Antrags setzen wir uns mit Ihnen in Verbindung.

I will submit the written application this week or at the beginning of next week and let you know what.
