Please let me know some details about the current DSL rates in India.

1) Who are the service providers? and what each of then offer currently?
2) It would better if I can get a comparision(?kbps broadband, cost per annum, unlimited download etc.) list
3) What are the installation costs at the beginning?
4) which places in Andhra Pradesh got DSL already?
5) websites for this info. is always welcome

The top player in 2002 was Dishnet DSL. It was acquired by VSNL, which is now Tata Indicom

thanks fred! but I was expecting more answers and it seems like DSL in India is very expensive.

For an elaborate Testreport, you have to ask someone in India who has such connection at home. None of my friends in India (TN) have DSL in their home. As you said, its too expensive and Dishnet-DSL was laying seperate lines for DSL which costed 30K for a single connection!!
