Last week my wife came to Germany and I submitted Tax card 3 in my Company. So from this month I get the salary as according to the Tax card 3.

Question:
1. For the period of Jan- April 2009 I received my salary as according to the tax class 1. Is it possible to request my company (or finanzamt?) to pay the remaining amount for the period of Jan- April 2009 as according to the Tax card 3?

2. or its possible only after this year end? (2009 tax claim period)

2. Yes, you can make a tax returns application in 2010 for the year 2009

today i received a mail from my company HR that my tax card 3 is valid from June not from May.
she has written in the mail that, its mentioned on the tax card that its valid from 25.05.09 to dec 09.

any suggations? or its normal. (as you said anyway i can claim this tax in the next yr.)

It is true, if you have change your tax class on 25.05.09, did you went to office to change your tax card on 25.05.09? If yes, than it is true.

Yes, it is valid from the day, when you change it. Date is clearly printed on the tax card.

Just relax and enjoy. You can make it in next year tax returns.
