I have NE and my wife is a German citizen. I plan to relocate outside Germany for a few years. As per info avaiable online, my NE would not expire but it is recommended to get a certificate. My question is from where should I get this certificate and what is the procedure involved. I have written to my local auslanderbehorde but there has been no response since 3 weeks or so...anyone who has taken this certificate...kindly guide.

Sachin, only ALB can do that. You did the right thing. Since you already wrote an email, better go directly and get this letter.
