Hi

Can anyone tell me from where I can attest some of my document via NOTARY PUBLIC in Germany? Or is it same if some of lawyer can attest it?

Hi,

you need a 'Notar'. You find them everywhere :-)

'Notar' is an additional qualification for lawyers.

Hello,
When someone gets attestation done by notar, and suppose this attested document has to be sent to an english speaking country, is it also necessary to get it translated as the stamp that the notar puts to attest the doc is in german.

It depends on the NOTAR. The one i had put the stamps both in English and in German Language, may be because he saw the document will be used in british consulate. Ask the NOTAR if he has the stamp in english also.

Can you let me know how much does the notar normally charged for the service you had rendered from him.

I wanted to ececute a power of attorney from a notar here.
