No. You only need a valid residence permit (besides the other requisites).

Yes, NE is must or Normal AE but not with AE with Student status.

Need advice from boarders.

We are living here in Germany since Dec 2005 & I have a permanent job in Munich & I do pay necessary taxes, social security as per the requirement.

Our application for Bundererziehungsgeld was rejected with following reasons.

1-lebensjahr
Erziehungsgeld bestetht nich wann die Aufenthaltserlaubnis Nach § 18Abs die Zustimmung der Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit nach der Beschaftigungverordnung nur fuer einen bestimmten Hochstzeitrum erteilt werden darf..........

2-Lebensjahr
Bundererziehungsgeld fuer zweite Lebenjahr wird abgelehnt.
Ihr anzurechnendes Einkommen uebersteigt die in § 5 Bundererziehungsgeld festgestzten Einkommensgrenzen...............
Gegen diesen Beschied schriftlich oder zur Niederchrift Widerspruch einlegen.

Surprsingly, the reason for 2-Lebenjahr is different from the 1-Lenbensjahr, although I have same Aufenthaltserlaubnis Nach § 18Abs which is being renewed every year.

Should I ask them for Widerspruch ?
Please let me know what to write to them.

Search this forum and check if you are eligible for BE. If so, get BE and do the widerspruch with updated visa. Ne is not must.

Yor are not eligible with §18 type Visa (Its IT Aufenhalterlaubnis) for Elterngeld. §18....24 are not eligible for any elterngeld. Only solution is NE.
