Just wanted to know if anyone has had experience in Köln for getting BG approved?

I have been chasing the Ausläanderbehörde sicne last 3 months here and still nothing in sight. I went today myself again to the office and the woman there said she will pass my application to the next level now and that I must be patient.

Would appreciate if anyone of you who has had any expeience in Köln coul share their experience and tips on dealing with them? My case is with being handled by a lawyer though. But everything is moving very slowly.

No idea what do you mean by BG.

I am in Köln. I got my BE in April 2005, EG in June, NE in December. It was total 40+40+85=165 Euro. It was a real waste of money, as all you need is only NE.

-how long are you here? Since 01.07.02 as GC

-what visa? binde or not? I don't know this. I got Aufenthalserlaubnis until 30.06.07

-what is BG? Well I picked up the terms on this forum. I have applied for allowance to work in any field, other than just IT.

-what is next level? AA? god?
-have you talked to ABH boss? No not yet. As my case is being dealt by the lawyer and she sent an application letter/antrag.

-have you talked to AA?

I think you mean contract with my company. This is like a regular employee contract, with unlimited time.

Yes.

I would be quicker than that lawyer.

they decide will you get Be or not

Binded visa has firma name in it.
what exactly is written in your visa?
why do you need Be?
is your firma stable?

is your german good?
what did they say, can you get Be and why?
can you explain law to them in german?

My German is reasonable. I get by. But I cannot fight with these people or go at lengths of explaining law of their country , in their language in my German:-) (you know what I mean?). And thats why I hired a lawyer to do the paper work and follow up.

I am eligible for BE as I have already spent more than 3 years in Germany. My lawyer had made an application stating the law and my eligibility.

I went to the Ausläanderbehörde today as its been more than a month now since the application was made. And the lawyer is in Berlin. So she asked me to go myself today and put pressure on the Beamtin. I gave her all the necessary documents that my lawyer had asked me to (last 3 salary slips, contract letter etc). The woman didn't ask me for anything and when I asked her if she needs more documents, she said she does not know. I asked her would she like to see them in original , she said not required. Then I asked her what are the next steps. She said, that she will forward now this application and I should wait. I will recieve a letter stating whether they have accpeted or rejected my application. And in case, they have accepted my application, then I should come to their office for the stamp/whatever the letter says. Then I asked her normally how much time it takes, she said "she cannot say. It goes very quickly these days, and would be something like 2-3 weeks".

Under these circuntances what are your suggestions?

Also, I wanted to know on this forum, if anyone in Köln had got through this and how much time and energy they had to spend? I am in Braunsfeld/Lindenthal area. I don't know if its different for different stadtteils in Köln?

You made few mistakes but now is too late.
I had similar situation (see thread My Antrag auf Auflage Aufhebung) but I never played blind.
After (and before) sending Antrag you should call them and see what do they think. If they think wrong you should try to change it.

If I would just send Antrag and pick whatever they give me, I would get veery sh.ty Auflage.

But if you can not talk to them and pursuade them, than you can only wait.

Or 265 weeks (rounded down)

The only eligiblity for BE/EG/NE is having a job and relevant duration of your stay in germany.

you made a mistake when you let them cut you off from the decision making process. that way they can decide something stupid and you will see it in your pass when it's too late.

you should not allow them to cut you off. that another instance is b.llsh.t. you should find out what is another instance, what another instance thinks and influence it if needed.
otherwise you just wait in the dark and who knows what Auflage will you get.
