Dear All:

I am working in GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Dresden for last 5 years. I am planning to relocate to India therefore currently thinking to inform my company about leaving the job.

When i went through my contract it is mentioned that:
"The notice periods will be governed by the statutory provisions, unless otherwise agreed in the employment contract. With increasing senior-ity, the notice periods will, pursuant to Section 622, para. 2 BGB [German Civil Code], be extended in accordance with the provisions of the law´."

Does anybody have idea about the section 622, para. 2 BGB (German civil code)?

If yes then please let me know. Your information will help me.

It is standard 3 months for employment less than 5 years and 4 months if it is more than 5 but if you can get an Aüflösungsvertrag signed by 2 parties then you can even leave tomorrow.
