I have a small doubt regarding Spouse visa.
As per the Spouse visa requirements, A1 certificate is must in most cases. My wife has just started this course in Goethe Zentrum. The duration is around 2.5months(10 weeks). Can she ask for a participation certificate(which says start and end date of the course)from the institute and apply for visa, as it takes long time for communication between chennai and germany. Later she will fax the A1 certificate to chennai.

The institute ppl intimidated her saying, visa was rejected for the dependents using this so called Participation certificate.
Any inputs/experiences regarding this?

dependents of ppl with NE dont need this A1.

1) Participation ceritificate is not really needed. Just mention in the cover letter for spouse visa, that she is doing A1 and the expected data of completing and attach the fee receipt. This may or may not speed up final decision. If they ask for A1, your spouse will have to show the pass certificate.

You can also send the copy of pass certificate to the local ABH in Germany. This will speed up the process.

2) Spouse of NE (obtained by proving High Qualified specialist skills) are exempt.
