Hello

I am in Germany wih my wife and kids on work permit. We have visa valid until end of Jan06.
Our company started the process of extending my visa for another 1 year.

But the bottleneck is, my son went back to India, he will be coming to Germany again in May06 but his visa expires by end of Jan06. As he is not in Germany, I cannot get the extention stamped on his passport.
So I need suggestions on How can I get visa extention for my son? any document that helps him to travel to Germany? Do I have to apply for a new visa or can I approach German embassy in India to issue a new visa?
Would be pleased to receive sugestions!

The best way is to contact your local foreign office (Auslaenderbehoerde) and ask for the right procedure. There is nothing to worry about in your case because your residence permit is important and once that is secured you will have no problems in bringing back your family members to Germany.
