I have to make a quitting note 2 months before I leave my job!

In these 2 months am I aloud to take vacation?

My situation will be like this: at the end of May I want to return to my homeland and the last 10 days of May I was thinking to have them as vacation from work! I don't know if I can do that! Some persons told me that I won't be able to take the free day, that I'll only be paid for them !
I'd appreciate some help (eventually some links-they could be in German too)
