Hi All,

I am in a special situation with my contract in my company. I am working for a company X from beginning of 2002. My company has been taken over by another company Y in beginning of 2005. Still I have the contract with company X(the first one). I have heard that some of my collegues have already changed their contract to the new company.. I haven't taken the initative to change my contract, as I know there are some clauses which would not be as interesting as my previous contract.

Now my question is that, do I have legal protection with my current contract? Some one told me that once the company is taken over by another company the protection is only for 12 months after taking over.

I do get payment and pay slips from the new company. Even I got the papers necessary for my NE process from the new company..

Any advice on this situation would be really helpful..
