Hi everyone. Last week I got my Job Seeker Visa and came to Germany. I immediately picked up my contract and tried to apply for the Blue Card. I requested an appointment date, although have not received it yet. As I am already in the city that I am going to work, I wonder what would be the earliest day that I can start to work. In the foreigners office they said my Blue Card could be issued in 2 months, can I get some sort of temporary work permission until then?

My employer offered me their help for the process. In practice, would it speed up the process if they call someone from the foreigners office or visa issuing agency?

My last question is about my degree. I have a Computer Science degree from a notable UK university. When I applied for my Job Seeker Visa I did not translate and certify my degree certificate, I guess because it was in English and from a university in EU. Do I need to translate and certify my degree here?
