Dauerafenthals EG - how it works

All - I heard that NE-EG is valid for 6 years if you are going in to other EU. Since last one year, my company is asking me to take up projects in Swiss. I have not been moving out of Germany citing my NE expiry. I have been living in Germany since May 2003 and I obtained my NE in 2008.
1)In order to retain my NE, what do I have to do if my company asks me to move to Swiss?
2) What will happen to my social security contribution?
3) What will be impact on my AOK insurance?
4) Couple of years later, will I be able to move back in to Germany?
5) How to get this NE - EG? If I get NE EG, do I still have to get work permit for Swiss as I still hold an Indian passport.

Any inputs will be great !!
Thanks,
Balu

Thanks mate. I wish I could take it but it will take 1 year to process and also I am not good at German language skills. I have an option to move to Swiss for couple of years. Hence it will be great if some one replies my queries.

Thanks.

To retain your NE, get a letter from you company saying that you are going on a intercompany transfer to Swiss and give it to the foreign office. They will give a letter saying that your NE will not lapse for the time period.

So when you do the above

1)In order to retain my NE, what do I have to do if my company asks me to move to Swiss?

See above

2) What will happen to my social security contribution?

Nothing.. you will just stop paying into it. You cant claim it unless you leave EU

3) What will be impact on my AOK insurance?

You have to take a new insurance in Swiss and AOK will be cancelled since you no longer live in germany.

4) Couple of years later, will I be able to move back in to Germany?

Yes if you have done as suggested in the starting of this reply

5) How to get this NE - EG? If I get NE EG, do I still have to get work permit for Swiss as I still hold an Indian passport.

Yes, your company has to apply for swiss WP
