I have accompanied my husband who is on a work permit to Germany.I currently hold a dependant visa saying 'ERWERBSTATIGKEIT NICHT GESTATTET'.Its been just one month for me in Germany now.I have got a job offer to work as a freelancer .But neither the employer nor I are aware of the visa rules.I got to know that I need to get Freelance visa . I have a few questions in this regard.
1.Is freelance visa different from getting a work permit in Germany?

2.Am i eligible to get a freelance visa/work permit?

3.What is the procedure or the pre-requisites to get the visa??

Could anyone please help me with answere to my question?

OPTION A
you have to change your visa from 'ERWERBSTATIGKEIT NICHT GESTATTET' to 'ERWERBSTATIGKEIT GESTATTET'. For that go to ABH, with your freelance contract and get it done. But as you are just 1 month in Germany i am not sure how easy it is to get EG.
But i do know that if you are for 2+ years in Germany you can get it without a fuss.

But its nothing wrong to give it a try. Just take your Freelance contract, and your passport to the ABH. They may give you a date based on availability.

OPTION B
Look for umbrella company who would take your burden of getting your visa status changed.

in a way yes, but it may take shorter than normal WP application from home country. less docs less overheads.

if you want to speed up better consult a lawyer. thats what i did when was in berlin. Trust7 recommended lawyer vpmk was good for me.

i think i should approach a lawyer too ...they would handle this in a better way.

no. I lost them.

But my lawyer was Frau Ponert from VPMK.
she handles it well. I dont have experience with any other.

Just google for VPMK and you will get the number.
