Hello,

I am working at a Unviersity in Germany since 2005, and have parents in a very low-income situation in the other country. Every month in 2006 I sent certain amount of money to support my family. As I was informed that it can be deducted from the taxes, I reported that as Untehraltshilfe in this year Steuererklaerung, but it was rejected with an explanation that I am not legaly bound to supporting them. Does any of you have sa similar situation? How are you handling it?

Can anybody help me with advice what to do in order to get my claim at least partially accepted?
It would mean really a lot to me. Thank you all in advance.
