Dear Trust7er's,

I have a question related to Niederlassungserlaubnis and Kurzarbeit (Short Working Time). In my company, they are planning to implement Kurzarbeit from this week (Friday onwards) itself.

At the end of May, I would be applying for my Niederlassungserlaubnis.

My question is: If I am in Kurzarbeit, I would be getting Kurzarbeitgeld (KUG) from the Arbeitsamt. A statement in the salary slip would also mention this. Would this have any negative effect on my application for NE? KUG is more or less Arbeitslosengeld for the number of days, where I would be doing Kurzarbeit.

I am a bit confused and need your expert advice on the same.

No. Kurzarbeit has no impact on your NE application.

Hi,

With negatives, I wanted to say as to what negative effects could one have when in Kurzarbeit and an application for NE is made.
