Hi
Someone with Indian passport has Niederlassungerlaubnis. Passport expires and the new passport will still need one month to be issued by Indian consulate. The question is whether Auslandbehörde should be informed about the expiry of passport..

New Passport has till not arrived. Thats the issue, whether Auslanderbehörde should be informed about the late coming of new passport or it is not required because of Niederlassungserlaubnis.

This is just a guess but you should probably get some sort of temporary ID from the Auslaenderamt. It might be wise to have something in case you need it.

Hi,
The receipt you get from the consulate is the proof. You don't have to inform ABH abt your new passport..just go to them to get new sticker on the new passport once u get it.

The old passport will be with the consulate and they can give it back if you need to travel outside Germany for some reasons.
