finally my wife got the spouse visa and we reached in germany yesterday.Thanks for all suggestion from trust7 members.
For iNFO chennai embassy did the verification of my marriage certificate as mentiones, it took 6 weeks.

Today i got my wife registered in the rathaus. Will my TAX class will be automatically changed. The lady who takes care of my file is in holidays and will be back in january. so my wifes visa will only be extended in january.

Registering my wife is enough for getting tax benefit for whole year 2005. for changing my tax class she need 6 months visa which cant to be done untill jan 3rd.

Great news, Congatulations!!!
You have to send your tax card to the authorities to effect the changes. Once you have registered your wife, they have the full data concerning her. I am not sure about the tax benefits.

I too have applied for family re-union visa at chennai consulate before 3weeks. I would like to know about the processing time ? Is it really necessary for Chennai consulate for verification of the marriage certificate even if we have the RED seal in the marriage certificate ?

Also we got some reference number from the chennai consulate lastweek,What is the use of the reference number ? What exactly this reference number means ?

Can any trust7 members could tell me how long the processing takes after this reference number is being given? Does it has any influence in the application process ?

I think you need to wait for a replay from your local ABH, reference number is for future correspondance.

which city you appled from , over all i think it will take 8 weeks. if your local ABH asks for verification whole process might get delayed for 6 more weeks.

worst case scenerio 14 weeks
best case scenerio 8 weeks.
