Hi,
Are there anybody from hessen/Frankfurt who got citizenship according to 6 years rule ? If yes then please let me know how long it took for the full process. I applied for it since 6 months but I did not hear anything about it.

@hellonews

Here is your to-do-list ;-)

- complete the intregation course
- wait 6 more months and apply under 7 years rule
- you will get passport sooner with "7-years-rule" as compared to "6-years-rule"

Hi Akshay,

Would you please explain it ?

- Are you asking to apply at 6.5 years mark for 7 years? If yes,
- Do they at all accept an application for 7 years rule at 6.5 yearks mark?
- or am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance!

@hellonews, pwehrli

I wanted to apply under "6-years-rule" but the lady at Einbürgerungsamt told me that "6-years-rule" does not come under Anspruchseinbürgerung and the final decision might take 1 to 2 years. Then I went for Integrationskurs and applied after 6.5 years under "7-years-rule" and it took 7 months. Alltogether 85 months.

Hi pwhrlei,

Have you got any personal experience about 6 years ?

@sinu,

For citizenship, you can count the full where you were a student. For NE, student time would be counted half.
