This is Mandar Pitale. I am from Virar, Thane- INDIA.I have to file returns for the year ending on 31Dec06.

I need to get the Unterhaltsbescheinigung for my dependent parents and my dependent wife in India.

I am not too sure exactly from whom do I get the Unterhaltsbescheinigung signed/attested at Thane, India. The Unterhaltsbescheinigung which I have says "seal and signature of the President of Administration District".

Kindly advice the same. If possible also mail me ur valuable opinion on mandar.pitale@gmail.com

Hello Mandar,

You can get it stamped by the BDO (Block Development Officer) from your region. I did it for my parents.

The most important thing is to have a seal + stamp + signature. It works :-)

A known government officer should be able to do it.
